The Layout Designer is a full drag-and-drop canvas embedded as a new tab in the proposal editor, right alongside Equipment, Terms, Risk Plan, and Comments. Open the Layout tab, pick a starting template — Theater, Classroom, Boardroom, U-Shape, Banquet, or Cocktail — and you have a professionally arranged room in seconds. Each template comes pre-loaded with the right furniture, seating arrangement, and AV equipment positions for that event type.

The real power is in the custom AV shape library. Click 'AV Shapes' in the toolbar and choose from 12 purpose-built shapes organized into three categories. The Stage category includes Stage platforms, Podiums, and Dance Floors. AV Equipment covers LED Screens, Speakers, Projectors, Cameras, and FOH/Mixing Desks. The Seating category offers Round Tables with configurable seat counts, Rectangular Tables with chairs, and Chair Rows for theater-style seating. Every shape is resizable, movable, and labeled.
Once your layout is designed, you have three options. Save stores the layout as part of the proposal — it persists when you close and reopen. Export to PDF renders the floor plan as a full landscape page at the end of your proposal PDF, complete with your company name and proposal title. Download PNG gives you a standalone high-resolution image you can use in presentations, email attachments, or client briefings. The PDF export is the most powerful: when your client opens the proposal, they see the equipment list, pricing, terms, and then a professional floor plan — all in one document.
The Layout Designer is available on Pro and Business plans. Free and Starter users can try the full editor — all shapes, all templates, all drawing tools work without restrictions.
