Bug reports now take screenshots. Attach up to three images — PNG, JPG or WebP, 5 MB each — and support sees exactly what you saw instead of asking you to describe it. Screenshots are private to your company and opened through expiring links, because a picture of a proposal carries a client's name and pricing.
Keep Supplier Certificates in One Place, and Get Told Before They Lapse
Ask a supplier for the certificates they are missing and they upload them from a link — no account, no password. You verify each one before it counts, so nothing satisfies a check just by being uploaded. The send gate now reads the whole vault rather than one insurance date, and it checks against the day the crew is on site, not today. If a document lapses on a supplier you are actually using, you hear about it 30 days out, 7 days out, and on the day.
Ask Three Suppliers What They Charge, Then Award One
Send the same request to several subcontractors and compare what comes back. They see the quantities and the dates, never your prices or your client. Quotes come back side by side, cheapest first, with the gap between them in money — and lines a supplier cannot cover are flagged, so you are not comparing a cheap quote against a complete one. Awarding turns the winning quote into a work order at the price they actually gave you.
Insurance Checked Against the Show Day, Not Today
Add a supplier's public liability expiry once and CueQuote refuses to send them a work order if the cover runs out before your load-out — not merely if it has already lapsed. Cover that is valid the day you book and expired on site is the failure that actually costs money. You can still send, but the reason is recorded on the order with your name against it.
Sub Work Out Without Handing Over Your Client
Open the Suppliers tab on any job, pick the lines you are subbing out — or award a whole section in Planner mode — and send one link. The supplier sees their own scope, their own price, the venue and the load-in window, and accepts by typing their name. They never see who the end client is, what you are charging, or anything else on the job.
Your Plan Reads Like a Budget, Not an Equipment List
In Planner mode the proposal is now grouped into the sections an organizer actually thinks in — Venue, Catering, Production, Staffing, Transport — in that order, with Other last. The tab itself is called Plan rather than Equipment, because a planner's list is venue and catering, not an AV company's stock.
Rename Any Section, and Your Client Sees It
Click a section title to rename it — "Catering" becomes "Food & Beverage" if that is what your client calls it. Your wording now carries through to the PDF and to the link you share, so the client reads the same headings you do.
A Price Check Against the Local Market
Each line in a planner proposal is compared with what that item usually costs in your event's region, with equipment rates and crew rates judged separately rather than lumped together. Prices that are far outside the normal band — the missing zero, a day rate typed as an hourly one — are flagged in the editor while you can still fix them.
Setup and Strike Days Now Count in Planner Mode
Tell CueQuote how many days you have to build and to clear, and the plan prices them where an organizer actually pays: venue occupancy and crew time, not a daily equipment rental. If the event realistically cannot clear on the final night and you have not budgeted a strike day, the plan says so.
What the Brief Asked For That the Plan Misses
Attach an RFP or a brief and CueQuote reads it as the scope. Anything the document asked for that your plan does not cover — catering, permits, photography, guest transport — is listed in the editor, and a gap disappears as soon as you add the line that fills it.
