Open a catalog item for editing
Go to Catalog from the sidebar and click on any item to open its detail panel, then click Edit. Below the default price field you'll see a "Multi-Currency Prices" section. This is where you can set prices in additional currencies beyond your company default.
Pro tip: Start with the currencies you quote most frequently — typically EUR, USD, and GBP for international AV companies.
Add a price for each currency
Click "Add Currency Price" and select a currency from the dropdown (EUR, USD, GBP, PLN, AED, EGP, CHF). Enter the rental price in that currency. Repeat for each additional currency you want to set. Each currency price you enter is an exact rate — not a conversion. This lets you reflect local market rates and negotiated pricing for different regions.
Understand how proposal generation picks the price
When the AI generates a proposal in a specific currency, it looks for a matching catalog price in that same currency first. If you have set a USD price on an item and the proposal is in USD, that exact price is used. This ensures your proposals always reflect your real rates for each market — not floating exchange rates.
Pro tip: Set realistic local market prices rather than converting your home currency. A PA system that rents for €500/day in Poland may have a different market rate at $600/day in the US.
Auto-conversion fallback
If a proposal uses a currency for which you have not set a specific price on a catalog item, CueQuote falls back to converting your default currency price using the current market exchange rate. The converted price is flagged in the proposal editor with a small exchange icon so you can verify it before sending. You can override any auto-converted price manually in the editor.
Keep prices current
Multi-currency prices are static — they do not update automatically with exchange rate movements. Review your currency prices periodically (quarterly is a good cadence) and update any that have drifted significantly from current market rates. For items you sub-hire, align your catalog currency prices with your supplier's invoicing currency to protect your margins.
Pro tip: Add a calendar reminder every quarter to review your top 20 catalog items across all currencies. Five minutes of price maintenance prevents margin surprises on large proposals.
